In For a Treat! Also Small Fix From Last Chapter

High action up in Chapter 23!

There is a small phrase which some politically sensitive people may find offensive.

Also, we discovered that once acupuncture was given Anglicized names, they too found  ‘blood vessels‘ or ‘points‘ etc. too clunky as well and chose to call them ‘meridians‘. Of good taste senpai translators! *Clink glasses*

After all it refers to a very specific point, and must be “blood vessels”, whereas in English there is a differentiation between veins and arteries and is therefore inaccurate even if ‘veins’ flows better! (Machines also like to call them all veins, so that sure didn’t lighten the load)

Here are also some pix to illustrate some things that are described in this chapter:

goshawk

That, is a picture of a gos-hawk, which is goshawk, we just hyphenated it so no one misread it and it would indicate that it was a bird. I mean what the hell is a goshawk?? We didn’t know. BTW birds-on-the-brain ornithologists, that’s a terrible name.

tigerstance

Tiger Claw stance, as though the hands are holding large doughnuts. Martial Arts that use Tiger Claw traditionally have very tough trained fingers that feel as solid as rocks. Rending huge claw-shaped bruises on skin is fairy easy, though I’m fairly certain it could tear skin if they really wanted to hurt you.  I know a guy that trains in Hung Gar and he can rip bark off trees. o.o

mantisstance

Mantis stance is a kind of style that also uses very toughly trained fingers. Not all mantis styles have the same arrangement for their fingers, and mantis does punch. Mantis emphasizes speed and precision power.  TBH, I’m personally much more intimidated by Mantis Styles than Tiger.

    1. i practiced a few years ago, and some of my friends went to traditional styles or already had traditional style backgrounds, so just through casual conversation i was able to learn a lot.
