Our First Post of Jiang Ye! Jiang Ye Chapter 51

Blam! Goodbye Friday night! Will that diffuse people wondering what will happen next in Yao Nie Bing Wang? They’ll get their fix next week :3

I’m sure a lot of people were wondering, man when is Jiang Ye coming out? Well, we had to trawl through all 50 chapters, re-reading English and creating a tool we use called a translator’s wiki. It’s still not done, but it’s 9 pages of lists of things about xiuxing, locations, places, events – and only very little of it has been fleshed out. We plan to put in the Chinese too so when we see it we’ll know it. We’re jumping between two languages, and for anyone who knows multiple languages, they’ll know that connotations of words never exactly stack. Thus there are many, many ways to translate the exact same thing.

We really like Binggodude & Corp.’s work, so in order to pay homage to their work and for the sake of the readers, we decided to try to follow their translations as best we can. Naturally this is impossible to do 100%, because there’s always a bit of variation such as some minor character’s name being inconsistent and stuff like that. No biggie, we’ll just pick one and settle it.

TLDR; Chapter 51

Chang An is an actual city in China, and was the capitol of China during the Tang Dynasty, beginning 1300 years ago. Chang An was friggin huge, and this is a digital reconstruction done from a university in Singapore. Of course, Chang An in this story is not Chang An IRL, but with the same name I’m guessing it draws a lot of inspiration from the place and era.

  1. Thank god, someone picked this up. I really like this and I can’t wait until Ning grows powerful enough to take his revenge. And then there’s the plot…god, I’m so happy you picked this up! Thank you! ^^
